THE INTERVIEW

What is your position and what do you do in the company?

I am Head of Corporate Communication and also Marketing of Eurotech. I am responsible for planning and coordinating the implementation of the Corporate Communication Strategy and therefore of all the Brand Awareness for Eurotech and at the same time of the declination of corporate tools that can make sales more effective, the attractiveness of new talents and the incentive to buy and hold Eurotech shares, being listed on the stock exchange. In addition to these activities, I follow the internal communication, sustainability and initiatives linked to national and digital newspapers.

What was your path to taking on a senior role in marketing?

I started with a degree in marketing at Bocconi which I followed, in the School of Business Management also at Bocconi, with a Master's degree in Marketing and Communication. My first job was as Sales assistant for the Sales Director of Nike Italy and from there I gradually covered more important roles in retail marketing and then in marketing at a European level. I then became marketing manager for Nike, the company that managed the image rights of Juventus, also collaborating with the Club on the branding strategy. I then became a mother and hence my return to Friuli Venezia Giulia, first in LimaCorporate and then, broadening my skills, in ABS-Gruppo Danieli. I also trained with a recent master's degree in Digital Communication at Bocconi and am attending a course at Michigan University for content management. And then who knows….

Is there a social network that you prefer and one that you would easily do without?

I have always loved LinkedIn and appreciated the potential of Twitter, but for the American market. I've always done without Facebook.

How important are social media for your company today and what are the ways to make the best use of them?

Today all social networks count not only in B2C but also predominantly in B2B. Like all communication tools, they give their best if they are governed, if they have an editorial plan and if there is a person who holds the reins: the owner capable of acting proactively in this fast and dynamic world.

Given the growing relevance of the world of social media, combined with the multitude of activities reserved for the marketing office, have you ever thought about entrusting your company's social pages to professionals?

Yes, of course. In the past I have relied on outsourced professionals: I believe that it is very difficult to keep 360 degrees updated on these constantly evolving tools. The added value of experts in this field is essential.

What are your future plans in the company and your passions beyond work?

Good question, certainly trying to bring a series of activities to a "normal" regime in order to create routines from which all users can benefit. Then give greater emphasis to internal communication and that linked to sustainability. In my opinion, both represent the future: companies are made up of people and these can create the success or failure of business processes. Sustainability, on the other hand, represents our future and that of the next generations: it is a moral duty for all of us to take responsibility for it. Besides work, my greatest passion is my family, followed by my love of travel!
