THE INTERVIEW

What is your role in the company and who do you interact with the most?

I like to tell the story of a company that was born more than 40 years ago and which continues to grow, with an eye always turned towards the future, but which at the same time never forgets its origins. I coordinate the online world and the offline world: specifically I deal with content strategy and together with the commercial department I analyze the continuous evolution of the dynamics of our sector. The beauty of our reality is that, nowadays, my role and that of the salesperson of past years compensate each other. All this makes me feel like an evolution 2.0 that is always working behind the scenes.

What led you to take on a position in marketing?

After my three-year degree in industrial design, I completed a master's degree in digital marketing which confirmed to me how in love I was with the world of communication. This path gave me the opportunity to join the company which, at that moment, needed to structure the marketing department and develop communication internally. I believe that the enthusiasm that overwhelms me every day when I arrive at the office is precisely the result of the passion for my work and for the company.

Which social platform do you use with the most involvement and which one the least?

Ceccarelli Group is a B2B company, therefore I had to get involved to make the best use of LinkedIn which has given us great satisfaction in the last two years. Facebook is the other social network that allows us to strengthen our brand identity, but certainly not as much as LinkedIn. We are also present on Twitter and YouTube. A social network that I can definitely do without is Instagram! You will never find Ceccarelli Group on this platform even though I think it is my absolute favorite social network outside of work. Now that I think about it, I could propose to the management a profile of photos of the fleet of vehicles...

How much weight do you give to social networks within the work context?

Social media are increasingly playing a predominant role also in road transport, as they are useful for communicating the values and services or news of the sector to the target audience, especially in recent years where operations have been greatly affected and it was necessary to communicate all updates quickly. However, there are still few companies that invest in these channels because they are mostly not internally structured or do not recognize their importance. For us they are fundamental for strengthening the corporate identity but above all, thanks to the creation of targeted content and the optimization of online advertising investments, they give great added value in promoting business areas and telling the community about goals.

Have you thought about enlisting the help of professionals from the social world given the importance achieved by digital platforms and their management complexity?

Relying on professionals can help you stand out in the infinite and complex world that is digital platforms, especially because they are figures who are always up to date and in step with its continuous evolution. I firmly believe that, to best develop communication and marketing strategies that reflect the corporate identity, the need to experience a complex reality such as that of road transport and logistics on a daily basis is fundamental. In short: yes to professionals but who are always supported by the internal marketing department.

What is a typical day like for you and what new area would you like to explore?

My typical day can be summed up with: “good vibes”! The beauty of my job is that every day is different from the next. There are always so many things to design, create, analyze and all of this is very stimulating. It excites me even more to be able to interface with almost all the departments of the Group... it's never boring! An area that I would like to explore further is certainly the topic of corporate social responsibility (CSR) as Ceccarelli Group has always undertaken sustainability and social responsibility paths independently and with great satisfaction. Being a very broad subject, I am approaching some best practices to be able to support this virtuous path for our sector which certainly needs to be more sustainable and digital to keep up with the times.
